Jeremy Tremaine Williams, 42, was executed by the State of Alabama on August 13, 2026, for the 2021 rape and murder of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland in Phenix City. A Russell County jury convicted Williams in 2024 on multiple capital murder charges, including murder committed during rape and kidnapping, and he was sentenced to death.
Williams later chose to waive his remaining appeals and asked authorities to move forward with his execution. The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals upheld his conviction and death sentence in March 2026, and the Alabama Supreme Court subsequently authorized the execution. Governor Kay Ivey established an execution window beginning August 13.
