Iran attacked a UAE vessel today. Almost every day now, Iran is striking the ships that try to slip through Hormuz in secret. Now the question is
– Didn’t Trump say that for every ship attacked, one Iranian power station, bridge or oil and gas field would be hit in return? So why isn’t he doing it?
American military analyst Scott Ritter said today
– With each passing day, Iran is getting stronger
And the leaked Pentagon report states it plainly – 50% of America’s Tomahawk missiles are gone. 80% of the THAAD interceptors are gone. And 65% of the Patriot missiles are gone. CNN, the BBC, everyone is carrying this now.
This leaked report has left Trump in a foul mood these days. British media outlet Sky News gave that plenty of coverage, and Sky News geopolitics analyst Professor Michael Clarke said today
– Trump is blaming War Secretary Hegseth. Hegseth is blaming General Caine! And General Caine is blaming CENTCOM!
Seeing this news, American military analyst Colonel Daniel Davis said
– This is what happens when incompetent people are appointed to important positions.
Anyway, bourgeois Trump and imperialist America have nothing left to gain in Iran. Only things to lose. By now virtually every geopolitics analyst in the world accepts this. And a short while ago today, Al Jazeera reported
– Araghchi says US must compensate Iran for MoU violations in order for Hormuz to reopen
Which means Trump is in serious trouble. America now has to give up even more, as the price of breaking the memorandum. Iran is demanding more. And this is exactly why no new agreement has been reached yet. Now the question is
– What happens to the Arab countries? Who provides their security?
This is precisely why Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement yesterday.
Belgian journalist and world-renowned geopolitics analyst Elijah Magnier said today
– There will be no more need for American military bases or the petrodollar in this region. This is where it ends.
Anyway, since I know Elijah personally, I called him directly and asked
– Why did you say that?
The reasoning he gave is entirely reasonable. What he means is – through the Hormuz agreement, Iran will control this strait. Which means no American weapons can come through this strait for the Arab countries. I asked him
– Can’t they go through the Suez Canal, or by air?
He answered
– The large tankers cannot pass through Suez. The ones that carry two million barrels of oil. And going by that route means an enormous waste of time and money. Hormuz cannot really be replaced. And you cannot carry everything by air.
And this is exactly why Saudi Arabia, thinking about its own security, has formed an alliance with Turkey and Pakistan. They may well keep buying weapons from America. But the volume of those purchases will slowly fall, and there will come a time when the Arab countries no longer trade in petrodollars. Because these countries have already signed all kinds of agreements with China.
Elijah’s reasoning seems sound to me. For those of you who do not know the history of geopolitics – anyway, do you remember 2014?
Back then the American-backed Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki placed an order to buy weapons from America. He paid the money too. But those weapons never reached Iraq. And in that window I*SIS seized Mosul and many other parts of Iraq.
Even in the middle of that danger, American weapons did not reach the American-backed Iraqi Prime Minister in Iraq. Saudi Arabia and the other Arab states must surely know this. So if they sit around depending on American weapons, or believing America will provide their security, they have a bad fate waiting for them. Now the question is
– Was this alliance formed against Iran?
Because the core idea of this alliance is that if one country is attacked, the others will treat it as an attack on themselves. Now suppose Iran attacks Saudi Arabia. Do you really think Pakistan or Turkey will attack Iran?
American professor Jeffrey Sachs said today
– When Russia attacked a Turkish plane, Turkey asked NATO for help. Because they are a NATO member. Did they get that help?
They did not. NATO said at the time – we are looking into it, this may be something else, and so on. Which is to say NATO did not want to go to war with Russia. Exactly the same thing will happen in Iran’s case. He said it plainly
– Pakistan and Turkey will not go to war against Iran under any circumstances.
So the question is
– Then why was this alliance formed?
The main reason is timing. Saudi Arabia simply could not get out of America’s orbit. Which is why, seeing the opening, they have gone ahead and formed the alliance. Talks about it had been going on for a long time, but they could not do it, because of America. Now they can say it very easily
– You were able to provide security to Israel, but you failed to provide security for us.
So they have used the opportunity to step out of American Hegemony. And besides, Turkey is a NATO member. So why would they need to enter another military alliance like this? There was no need for it. Here I will not quote anyone else. I will give you my own opinion.
For several months now, Israeli ministers and MPs have been talking against Turkey. Some have even said the next target is Turkey. And Turkey knows very well that if Israel attacks Turkey, nobody will come to save them, NATO membership or not. Because the main country in NATO is America. And America is certainly not going to go against Israel.
And Israel is a nuclear power. That is why Turkey has gone into this alliance with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Since Pakistan is a nuclear power, this alliance creates a Deterrence.
The most interesting comment today came from Tehran University professor Marandi. He said
– If this alliance is genuinely against Israel and imperialist America, then Iran should join the alliance.
But he also said – we must first observe what their real intentions are. Still, one thing can be said with certainty – the Iran war is changing the Middle East completely. Exactly as the Belgian journalist Elijah said
– Iran has created a new Middle East.
The fall of American imperialism has begun in Iran. That is the reality now. Iran is not merely winning this war. It is building a new Middle East. One in which imperialist America and Israel will hold no dominance of any kind. Coming into Iran, these two imperialist countries have brought a crushing defeat down on themselves.
